The Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC) will host a public comment hearing on the proposed amendments to Chapter 5, relating to Carbon Dioxide (CO2), and on the RRC’s application to the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for enforcement primacy of the Class VI Underground Injection Control (UIC) Program. Public comments will be accepted through Friday, July 1, 2022. To view the proposed amendments and submit a comment, visit the RRC website at https://rrc.texas.gov/general-counsel/rules/proposed-rules/ under “Chapter 5. Carbon Dioxide – Various Rules”.
